SEMA Continues Community Engagement Meeting ahead of Palliatives Distribution, Visits Fika and Bursari LGAs

Yobe SEMA successfully conducted a Community engagement Meeting in Fika and Bursari LGA to review the plans and modalities for the ongoing 2023 Yobe State Government Palliative distribution to the vulnerable HHs across the state.

Participants from the 2 LGAs cut across the members of the LGA critical stakeholders, in Fika headed by the Hon. Commissioner of Higher Education, Prof. Mohammed Bello Kawuwa, Member Yobe House of Assembly Hon. Yakubu Suleiman Maluri, LGA Chairperson, Representatives of the two (2) Emirate councils, Faith group leaders (Muslim and Christians), Security personnel, Party leaders (APC, PDP), various CSOs/CBOs and head of clusters (IDPs, NUT, NURTW, Market women, Keke NAPEP riders, Miyetti Allah, etc).

In Bursari, the team was led by the LGA Chairman Hon Lawan bukar Guba and other members of the LGA.

The following items were exhaustively deliberated including the Distribution Plan, proposed timeline, target Population, and Clusters categories amongst other key issues.

This is in line with Community Engagement, Accountability and Localization for the affected populations (AAP)
