Governor Buni directs SEMA to ensure genuine farmers are enrolled as NEMA commence enumeration of over 6000 farmers affected by 2020 Flood.
Today 24th June 2021 NEMA team from the North East Zonal office led by the Zonal Coordinator Wagami Lydia alongside SEMA Yobe office flagged off the enumeration of farmers affected by flood for federal government intervention.
The heavy downpour witnessed in Yobe in 2020 has affected farmers across the state which subsequently led to poor harvest. NEMA Following receipt of reports from YOBE SEMA and subsequent validation, rolled out enumeration exercise ahead of support to the farmers for better output this season.
After successful enumeration, each farmer is expected to get improved Seed, Chemicals, Napsack Sprayers and Fertilizer.
The Executive Secretary SEMA who led the team to the flagoff, assured the Nema Northeast team that, as directed by His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni, SEMA would ensure value for project, accountability and real beneficiaries are captured.
In her remark, one of the beneficiary Hajja kolo Isa said “Since government people came and write our names, i didn’t see them again, i have even loss hope, but am suprised to hear my bulqmq asking me to come and be enumerated, insha Allah Mai Mala will succeed beyond imagination “.
