Wfp World Food Programme WFP Supports Yobe SEMA with a Mobile Storage Unit (MSU)

 

WFP-UN has supported Yobe State Emergency Management Agency with a Mobile Storage Unit MSU. This follows a request made by Yobe SEMA to WFP Nigeria for 2 MSUs to be situated in Potiskum Gashua towns.

 

This is part His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Bunis effort to ensure resources are mobilised and reposition to prepare for emergencies.

 

Additionally, the MSUs will reduce cost of disaster reaponse and time to respond, provided that materials are closer to victims.

 

Already The Installation in Gashua is completed and looking foward to another one in Potiskum.

 

In total so far WFP has supported Yobe SEMA 4 MSU, this is in addition to capacity building on warehousing, Local Emergency Response and continued food security support across different locations
