The SSA to His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni CON and Imediate past commissioner of Health Dr Muhammad Lawan Gana led state Government team at the official handover of PHCC Jajere.
The Facility Constructed by UNDP in partnership with State Government with Funding from Japan keyed in to His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Bunis policy of atleast 1 Functional PHCC per ward.
The Executive Chairman of Fune LGA while welcoming guest, thanked his Excellency for choosing 2 FUNE Communities (Jajere and Daura) to benefit from the UNDP intervention and assured his leaders commitment to ensure access to service is prioritised.
While giving a brief remark on this August occasion, the ES SEMA informed the gathering that through partnership, UNDP has supportted community cohession, resilience buiding, livelihood support, Agriculture intervention, Vocational Training across Gujba, Fune, Potiskum, Gulani, Nangere and Fika through construction of PHCC, Schools, matkets, agric inputs support, Grant, startup cash, Government Buildings and hospital equipment amongst others. The ES SEMA thank UNDP and called on them to strengthen the existing partnership with the state.
The representative of Jajere Emirates while applauding this timely intervention, thank UNDP and Governor Buni for choosing Jajere, the Jajere Emirate secretary on behalf of the Emirates presented and decorated the Head NE UNDP Mr Moncef Kartas with the title of Hoore Jamu of Jajere Emirate.
The Representative of youth, women and community respectfully appreciated UNDP for the project and thank Governor Buni for this and many intervention in Jajere.
The representative of His Excellency while unveiling and commisioning the facility highlighted the numerous interventios of YBSG on health and commitment of His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni CON to invest more and sustain gains recorded.
He assured the community’s of improve service delivery and manpower and also to look into concenrs raised by the community. He also called on members to ensure prudent use of the facility by accessing available services ( Antenal, Immunization amongst other). The teams jointly went round the facility, the staff Quarters, water borehole for inspection.
Later in the day the team paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni CON at Government House Damaturu.
