Governor Buni task Development Africa the implementing partners of SPDC Nig. LTD  (Operators of the NNPC/SPDC/TEPNG/Agip Joint Venture) to ensure compliance with BOQ specifications and timely completion of project.
As part of their CRS of SPDC in partnership with Yobe State Emergency Management Agency, SPDC are implementing project across different thematic areas in Yobe State (Health, Livelihood, Shelter and Education) aimed and building resilience amongst returnee IDPs and supporting the state post insurgency recovery Plan.
In December 2020, Developement Africa the implementing partners of SPDC presented the second phase of the Education Emergency Project to His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni, this follows assessment and series of meetings held earlier with technical team from SEMA on the IDP location and government priorities.
His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni while commending SPDC for keying into his administration priorities and applauding the 2019 Modu Mustapha Project, further called on the Development Africa to ensure speedy completion of the project for the benefit of the IDP returnees.
His excellency also called on other partners and private sector to key into Yobe state government priorities and also avoid duplication.
In his remark, the Country Director of Development Africa Mr Kempeneer Joshua thank his Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni and the state Government for providing enabling environment to operate as well for all the support in ensuring IDPs are prioritised.
Yobe is the ONLY state to benefit from this project amongst the 5 planned for this period.
The project when completed will provide
1. Capacity Building for teachers
2. 7 Blocks of 3 classroom each
2. Administrative Block
3. Wash facilities
4. Water Borehole
5. Children Playground
6. Security Gate
