SEMA introduced UN, INGOs and CSOs to New Commissioner of Humanitarian Affairs Dr Mairo A Amshi MFR.

Today friday 22nd September 2023, i led all Humanitarian and Development partners working in the state and introduced them to the new Commissioner of Humanitarian Affairs Dr Mairo A Amshi MFR.

The visit is aimed at strengthening collaboration between state Government and partners and sustaining the localization drive in the humanitarian family.

The meeting was attended by The Honorable Commissioner, Special Adviser on Humanitarian Sen Adamu Talba, UN partners led by UN-OCHA, INGOs , CSO led by ED NYCSO Alhaji Baba Shehu , staffs of MHADM, SEMA, NEDC Yobe Focal Persons Nuhu Baba Hassan amongst others.

Presentation was made by SEMA on partners quarterly report and challenges after a remark by the Permanent Secretary MHADM Alhaji Hamidu Isa Babi . The SA Humanitarian made his remarks followed by feedback from NYSCO and UNOCHA.

The Hon.Commisioner while thanking partners for keying into Government priorities called on them to strengthen their response, move toward livelihood than relief. She assured partners of the enabling environment to operate and also the need to work as a team.
