On 26th July 2023 after a courtesy visit by one of our partners, His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni CON, directed SEMA to identify a school that requires urgent renovation within the budget line and handover for imediate response.

Potiskum LGA is amongst SEMA Early Recovery target LGAs, Dorawa Primary School was identified for renovation, Furnishing and Installation of Solar Power with a proposed dateline of December 2023.

After community Engagement and entry meeting with SUBEB, contractors were mobilised and work commenced immediately, with timely supervision, today the project is ready for Handover before the dateline.

1. 2 Blocks of 5 Classrooms
2. Complete Offfice and Stores
3. 110 Furnitures for pupils and teachers
4. Installation of Solar Power.

Challenges:
Adults Playing Football at the school premises will damage the Solar panels and damage the roofings.

Appeal to Dorawa Community Leaders:
Let them own the project, ensure safety and security and BAN adults (18+) from playing football within the premises.
