More support to Geidam

Over the past few weeks we have engaged in series of support to the displaced people of Geidam. As the people start going back to their homes, it is imperative that SEMA gives them even more support.

In continuation with the implementation of the directives of His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni, SEMA team working with its partners have distributed non-food items as well food items to the people who are at transit locations as well as to those in host communities that are willing to go back to their homes.

Furthermore, the Executive Secretary SEMA, and Prof. Nana who leads VSF team from Abuja, have visited IDPs in host communities. They also interacted with those on trasit location that are waiting for vehicles to convey them to their homes.

SEMA and the Yobe state government will continue to provide enabling environment for partners to operate, and most importantly we shall continue to support our people under every circumstance. We also thank all our partners who stood by our sides in times of need and distress.
