Governor Mai Mala Buni Honors Spelling Bee Tutors with Food Baskets

In a heartwarming gesture of appreciation, Governor Mai Mala Buni has recognized the invaluable contributions of the dedicated spelling bee tutors who coached and guided the 144 contestants from various schools across Yobe State during the 2nd Spelling Bee Competition.
As promised, each of the hardworking tutors received a 50kg bag of parboiled rice. This thoughtful provision was made to express gratitude for their tireless efforts in preparing the young spellers for the competition.
In addition to the food baskets, organizers of the 2nd Yobe Spelling Bee Competition ensured that tutors from outside Damaturu – the state capital, enjoyed fully paid logistics. This included transportation and accommodation during the event.
Dr. Mohammad Goje FRSPH, the Executive Secretary of Yosema, emphasized that this gesture extends beyond mere compensation. The knowledge, dedication, and passion demonstrated by the tutors go far beyond monetary value. Their commitment to nurturing linguistic skills and fostering resilience among the students deserves heartfelt recognition.
Speaking on behalf of the Yobe State Government and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), Dr. Goje expressed profound gratitude to the spelling bee tutors. Their unwavering support contributes significantly to the educational growth and development of Yobe’s youth.
