Governor Buni supports fire victims with Cash, Food Items, Wash and Shelter kits.

According to the Lawan and Bulama of the community, this is the first time in over 50 years they are witnessing this disaster and it happened when all the men are out for Jummaat prayers. While thanking God for sparing their lives, he said as believers they accept it and pray that it never happens again, he further thank Governor Buni for responding to their plight on time especially now that the holy month of Ramadan has started.

Hon. Bukar Adamu, the Executive Chairman of Damaturu on his part after consolation, informed the beneficiaries that as directed by His Excellency, the items given shouldn’t be sold and no body should come to ask for anything post distribution and also provided 2 improvised water trucker earlier destroyed in the inferno. The Hon Member representing Ward Tulur (7) Karaye who is also in the entourage call on the beneficiaries to use the cash and improvise items they need to resettle.

ES SEMA While presenting the items to each affected HH informed them that, within available resources government is committed to ensure they have resettled in thier homes.

Each HH goes recieved a combination of:

1-Cash

2-Mattress 3 to 4

3-Poly Mats 4 to 5

4-Clothes

5- Plastic Shoes

6- Plastic Buckets

7- Wrappers 3 to 4 pcs

8-Mosquito Nets 7

9-Children Clothes 7 to 9

10-Wash kits (Soap, Water Container, kettle, detergents, cups, plates)

11- A bag of Rice

12- A bag of Beans.
