GOV. bUNI’S 6TH YEAR IN OFFICE
Mai Mala Buni School of Leadership
As I reflect on the past six years of serving under the distinguished leadership of His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni CON, I can proudly say that I am a student of the Mai Mala Buni School of Leadership—a school not housed in walls, but built through example, experience, patience, listening and commitment to service.
In these six years, I have learned that leadership is not measured by age, degrees, or titles—but by the humility to listen, the strength to tolerate, and the wisdom to learn continuously.
From His Excellency, I learned the power of patience in the face of pressure, the necessity of tolerance in a diverse society, and the truth that no leader succeeds alone.
He taught us that leadership means putting aside personal interest to uplift thousands of lives—understanding that true progress only comes when we learn to live with and work through our differences.
I have seen firsthand how active listening can lead to informed actions and real results. These lessons have not only shaped my perspective but also equipped me more today than I was six years ago.
As Governor Mai Mala Buni CON marks six impactful years in office, I join many others in celebrating his legacy—the lives saved, the projects delivered, and the resources mobilized for the betterment of Yobe State.
Thank you, Your Excellency, for the opportunity to serve and to learn. May you continue to record greater successes as you continue to transform Yobe State.
