
Buwari incidents, Yunusari LGA. Yobe State
The Executive Secretary of SEMA led a team to commiserate with victims of Wednesday air strike in Buwari Village of Yunusari LGA.
Following the reports of an air strike affecting civilians in Buwari Village of Yunusari LGA a Nigerian-Niger border community, His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni directed SEMA and other relevant agencies to respond to the immediate needs of the victims.
23 Victims (5 children, 10 adult male and 8 Adult females) were hospitalised and are currently receiving treatment FREE at Government Hospital. 2 patient already transferred to Government Teaching Hospital for advanced medical care FREE and Unfortunately 9 Persons died and have since been buried.
SEMA Executive Secretary while commiserating with victims and care givers in Geidam General Hospital, conveyed the Governors condolence and also assured them of FREE medical attention as directed by the Governor.
A cash amount was given to all the patient caregivers to enable them sustain themselves while taking care of the survivors in the hospital.
While addressing Buwari community members, Dr Goje assured them of timely response to cushion the tension they are passing, especially with the panic amongst the community members. Additionally a Food basket was given to each household of survivors and representatives of Deceased.
A powered Battery and diesel was also provide for immediate operation of the only water borehole in the community.
