SEMA supports Gwayo Community in Jakusko LGA with Sacks for Embankment
Following reports of flood incident in Gwayo Community Yobe State SEMA Team made efforts to access the community through Gasamu Gogaram axis. Unfortunately because of the magnitude of the Flood Yosema Team were Unable to Reach Gwayo Community Despite Efforts put in Place.
Alternatively, community leaders from Gwayo and SEMA met at a safe location in Gada community and SEMA handed over First line support of 1000 sacks for Embankment to create access to the community for assessment and continued suport.
Already SEMA and LGA team are reviewing needs of the affected communities and also possibility of relocating communities at higher risk to safer upperland locations. Women, Children and the elderly will be prioritize.
SEMA Team in Jakusko will continue supporting victims while Alternatively route to Gwayo is identified for imediate response as directed by His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni.
