Action Against Hunger (AAH) Partners SEMA. supports flood victims

Today 14th September 2022 through SEMA partners support component, 219 registered and validated Flood Victims were supported with Non Food Items NFIs and Higiene Kits as well as sessions on good hygiene practices post flooding by Action Against Hunger (AAH), Nigeria Yobe Office.

The Support is through the AAH Rapid Response Mechanism aimed at supporting disaster victims and complementing Government effort and closing gaps especially with the high magnitude of flooding overstretching available resources this year.

The Executive Secretary of SEMA commended AAH for this timely response in keying and complementing Government Effort. AAH has been a key partner in complementing and ensuring synergy with SEMA and in responding to the plight of victims and the displaced.

ES SEMA called on victims to use the items given to them for the intended purpose.
