Action Against Hunger (AAH) distributes WASH, hygiene, and shelter kits to 44 New Arrivals from Niger in Potiskum LGA.

The Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Dr. Goje Mohammed, stated that the government will ensure that the new arrivals receive the necessary support and assistance through coordinated efforts and strategic planning.

Dr. Goje Mohammed also mentioned that YOBE SEMA in collaboration with other relevant stakeholders, comprehensive programs and initiatives will be implemented to facilitate the integration of the new arrivals into the local community.

AAH urges the beneficiaries to make good use of the items given and commends SEMA for providing an enabling environment. YoSEMA has eased humanitarian intervention in the state through coordination.

To ensure a better understanding of the items distributed, sensitization was carried out, and SEMA volunteers interpreted it into Arabic.

The items distributed include:
1. One bundle of roofing sheets,
2. Two bags of cement,
3. Wood,
4. Roofing nails,
5. Mattresses,
6. Mosquito nets,
7. Washing and bathing soaps,
8. Jerricans,
9. Torchlight,
10. Cooking pots.
